Cass County EDC annual meeting set
Terry J. Fitzgerald, senior economist and assistant vice president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, will be the keynote speaker at the seventh annual meeting of the Cass County Economic Development Corporation.
Fitzgerald's presentation titled, "Is the Economic Tank Half Empty or Half Full?" will be held Friday, Oct. 22, at the Chase Hotel in Walker.
Fitzgerald conducts research on national and regional economic issues, advises the Federal Reserve Bank president and board of directors on economic policy and current macroeconomic conditions and contributes articles to bank publications. He has more than 20 years of experience with the Federal Reserve and holds a doctorate degree in economics from the University of Minnesota. His work has appeared in professional journals and in publications of the Federal Reserve Banks of Chicago, Cleveland, and Minneapolis.
Riverside Assisted Living and Leech Lake Brewery will provide highlights of their business projects. The Cass County EDC will also conduct a short annual meeting.
