Carter named to State Compensation Council
ST. PAUL -- Bemidji attorney Darrell Carter has been appointed by Gov. Tim Pawlenty to the State Compensation Council.
He was one of eight people named to the panel that makes recommendations to the Legislature on the salaries of constitutional officers, members of the Legislature, justices of the Supreme Court, judges of the Court of Appeals and district court, and the heads of state and metropolitan agencies.
A certified public accountant as well as an attorney, Carter is a former assistant auditor and financial analyst for the Peat Marwick Mitchell accounting firm. He will serve as the 7th Congressional District representative to the council.
