A peaceful ending to her long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis, Caroline Curb will be remembered, missed, and loved by all whose lives she touched. She was an outstanding and selfless mother to her children and grandchildren. And like the swans paired for life, so did she with her late husband, Orville Curb. They started their young lives together in Gemmell, MN and they were proud to have raised their family in the community of Northome. She considered her children her greatest joy and pleasure. She also owned the local theatre and grew a name for herself serving the best buttered popcorn ever in the area! The family business, Northland Hardwood Lumber Company, moved them to Bemidji where they enjoyed the community and continued to live with their growing family. Caroline was known as an excellent bridge competitor. When she wasn’t playing cards, you might find her making her way to bingo. Her last few years, Caroline was enjoying life with her new friends at Windsong. In her final days, Caroline cherished the loving care from Hospice friends and also Pam Eichstadt and Sue Thompson, who were her bright spots in her day. Caroline will remain loved and alive in her family's hearts until they meet again.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Cory) Curb of Bemidji, Alan (Sue) Curb of Bemidji, Scott (Mary Boranian) Curb of Bemidji and Kelly (Pam) Curb of Bemidji; daughters, Sandy (David) Good of Sioux Falls, SD and Margo (Joe) Aitken of Bemidji; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; son, Barry;
Family prefers memorials to Sanford Bemidji Home Care and Hospice.
