Burnett will appear in an audience interactive program on May 17 at 8 p.m. at the State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis.

Burnett's conversation with the audience grew out of the question-and-answer sessions she would hold with her studio audience on each episode of "The Carol Burnett Show."

In April, Simon & Schuster will publish Burnett's new book, "Carrie and Me: A Mother-Daughter Love Story." It's a tribute to Burnett's late daughter, Carrie Hamilton.

Burnett sold out her April 2010 appearance at the State Theatre.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
