The rally came on the eve of Monday's Bemidji City Council meeting, which will address the Carnegie.

The city council voted last last fall to make plans for Library Park without the Carnegie. It confirmed its position in January.

But in a work sesssion last week, the council heard a new plan for the building that could sway councilors to allow supporters time to raise funds to preserve the Carnegie.

Upstream TV, Bemidji's public access television station, proposed to move its studio from the basement of Brigid's Cross into the Carnegie. it would share studio space, technology and infrastructure needs with the city's government access station, which plans to expand.

The council tabled consideration of the proposal. The issues is on its agenda for Monday night's regular meeting.
