Sanford to partner with eye center BEMIDJI — Sanford Health of Northwest Minnesota recently announced Dr. Sara Fredrickson will be providing optometry services at Northwest Eye Clinic in Fosston.
Fredrickson provides primary eye care examinations, contact lens fittings, glaucoma and cataract management, refractive evaluations, emergency eye care, pre- and post-operative care, vision therapy and low vision aides. She obtained her medical degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and is certified by the National Board of Examiners of Optometry. In addition, she specializes in head trauma, brain injuries, stroke and motor vehicle accident injury.
Statewide tour invites manufacturers BEMIDJI — Minnesota’s manufacturers are invited to be part of the Dream It. Do It. statewide tour of manufacturing on Oct. 23-25. Across the state, businesses open their doors for tours to close out Minnesota Manufacturers’ Week, an opportunity to showcase modern manufacturing and products made in Minnesota, including snowmobiles, airplane parts, military technology, baseball bats, wooden toys and medical devices.

There is no fee for manufacturers to participate. After registering online, manufacturers will receive a toolkit to help promote their event.
Moran selected as development specialist BEMIDJI — Sean Moran of Bemidji has been selected as the new NMF business development specialist for the Northwest Minnesota Foundation in Bemidji. Moran will work in a dual position, serving both NMF and the Northwest Small Business Development Center.
Moran will serve as program director for the NWSBDC, which is housed in NMF’s headquarters in downtown Bemidji. The two entities will jointly serve clients in the region to help businesses grow and succeed in the 12-county area of Northwest Minnesota.
Moran received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from BSU with an emphasis in marketing. Most recently, Moran was branch manager of Deerwood Bank in Northome.
