Long to lead Leech Lake area clubs

CASS LAKE — Larry Long has been hired as the new executive director of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Leech Lake Area.

Long has served as executive director of Boys and Girls Clubs in Waco Texas; Macon, Ga.; Prince William County, Va.; Branson, Mo.; and Lancaster County, Va.

Local branches are located in Cass Lake, Walker and Deer River.

Haskell promoted

at Bank Forward

BEMIDJI — Andy Haskell has been promoted to market president of the Bemidji Bank Forward branch. Haskell is a certified financial planner professional and holds a joint appointment with Invest Forward as a financial advisor.

Haskell is a graduate of West Point, served in the United States Army and was a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch prior to joining Insure Forward in August 2013.

Wolff graduates

from banking school

BEMIDJI — Dana Wolff, branch administration manager with Bank Forward, recently graduated from the Dakota School of Banking sponsored by the North Dakota Bankers Association and endorsed by the South Dakota Bankers Association. In its 41st year, the school trained 57 bank personnel. The school has been held on the campus of University of Jamestown in Jamestown, N.D., since 1997.

Students are enrolled for two years, attending the school one week each summer. The first-year session provides a general overview of the banking industry and the departments that make up a bank. The second-year session builds on the general banking knowledge gained in the first year and adds a computerized bank management simulation to reinforce technical and functional management skills.

TJ Studio adds

four team members

BEMIDJI — TJ Studio, a web development, graphic design, computer and information technology service, as well as a photography and marketing services agency, recently announced additions to its staff in Bemidji.

Brooke Duevel joins TJ Studio as portrait photographer, commercial photographer and videographer. She is a 2014 BSU grad with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish.

John Martens has 12 years of advertising and marketing experience and is a marketing specialist at TJ Studio. He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and advertising from South Dakota State University.

Nick Moe has joined the staff to provide for graphic design and computer service experience in the fields of computer repair, graphic design, computer sales or SMS/MMS texting services.

Sunny Kamath comes to TJ Studio with more than seven years of technical and customer support experience. Before joining TJ Studio, Kamath worked as a senior support engineer for health-care related information technology projects.

Kelsey joins Sanford Bemidji heart center

BEMIDJI — Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota recently announced Joshua Kelsey has joined its medical staff as a certified physician assistant.

Kelsey has been employed as an endovascular technologist at Sanford since 2008. In June, after completing his board certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Kelsey began working at Sanford Health Walker Clinic and will transition to Sanford Bemidji Heart & Vascular Center, specializing in cardiology, in the fall.

A graduate of the University of North Dakota, Kelsey is a certified physician assistant, able to provide medical care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician.
