Klejeski named Director of Admissions

BEMIDJI — Marcy Klejeski recently was named director of admissions and financial aid for Oak Hills Christian College. Klejeski will be responsible for all the functions related to financial aid and will be involved with the day to day operations of the admissions office at Oak Hills.

Klejeski comes to Oak Hills from Knife River Materials in Bemidji, where she most recently provided financial analysis, inventory control and administrative support to the equipment division.

Haak and Gilbertson join Karvakko

BEMIDJI — Karvakko Engineering recently added civil engineers Chris Haak and Selina Gilbertson to its Bemidji office.

Haak holds bachelors’ degrees in land use planning from Northern Arizona University and civil engineering from Colorado State University.

His area of expertise includes wastewater, water, and environmental issues. Gilbertson is a Bemidji High School graduate and a recent graduate of South Dakota State with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

She’s returning to Karvakko Engineering full time after her internship at the firm in 2013.

Goudge named new executive director

BEMIDJI — Susan Goudge recently was named as executive director for Visit Bemidji, the board announced this week.

Goudge has more than 20 years of marketing, sales and promotional experience, along with understanding the value of implementing partnerships with organizations and agencies, which is a key component to successful marketing within the tourism industry, the board said in a release.

Visit Bemidji, formerly known as the Bemidji Visitors and Convention Bureau, incorporated in 1989 and holds a marketing and promotional agreement with the city of Bemidji.

Hurricane Grill

to host job fair

BEMIDJI — Hurricane Grill & Wings Bemidji is scheduled to open later this summer at its location near the waterfront in downtown Bemidji and is looking to hire restaurant employees.

The restaurant is hosting a job fair from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Sanford Center, officials said in a press release.

Full- and part-time openings are available for the following positions: servers, waiters and waitresses, hosts and hostesses, kitchen staff, dishwashers, bartenders and more, according to a release from the restaurant.

Hurricane Grill & Wings is a Florida-based company with more than 70 locations in 15 states.
