Carlson honored for customer experience

BEMIDJI — John Carson, an American Family Insurance agent in Bemidji, has been recognized for providing outstanding customer experience under the American Star Excellence in Customer Experience Certification. Carlson joins other American Family agents who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to outstanding customer service.

Sanford Bemidji receives accreditation

BEMIDJI — Sanford Bemidji has been granted a three-year/full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. Accreditation by the NAPBC is given only to centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance. In Minnesota, there are only six accredited breast centers, including Sanford Bemidji.

Anderson joins engineering team

BEMIDJI — Karvakko Engineering recently added Simon Anderson to its staff as a technician, where he will perform surveying responsibilities. Anderson is a Bemidji High School graduate and received a bachelor’s degree in human development and family science from North Dakota State University in Fargo. While at NDSU, Simon was also a member of the Bison baseball team.

Cabin Coffee House expands to new location

BEMIDJI — The Cabin Coffee House will open its second location at 1024 Paul Bunyan Drive NW.

The new location should be open June 2, company officials said. It will feature a similar drink menu as the downtown location but feature new food items including products from an artisan bakery.

The new location will also feature a drive-through window.

The Lash Vault opens location in Bemidji

BEMIDJI — The Lash Vault has recently opened a new location at 522 Beltrami Ave. NW, Suite 15.

The original location is in Akeley, Minn. The business offers semi-permanent eyelash extensions.
