Investigators are still sorting out the details, but they say the victim, an employee of Burger King, was punched in the face by the driver of a car just after 4 p.m.

The victim was handing out change to a passenger in the back seat at the time.

Police Lt. Rodney Hajicek said the driver is a former employee of the restaurant.

The victim was scheduled to give a statement to police Thursday, and misdemeanor assault charges are likely to be filed against the driver, who police have not named.
