The Beavers end the season with a 12-15 overall and 6-14 record in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Freshman Jessie Althoff led all scorers with a career-high 25 points.

The Beavers' final record is a vast improvement from last season's 3-24 overall and 1-19 NSIC record. The game marked the last for lone senior Kim Rosecrans. She started the game and played in 14 minutes. Sophomore Heather Sampson scored a career-high 14 points, as the only other Beaver in double-digits. She added career-highs in shots made (7), shots attempted (11), rebounds (7) and minutes (16). BSU shot just 36.6 percent from the field and 17.6 percent from 3-point land.

Wayne State, winners of its last 12 and undefeated at home this season, shot 45.2 percent form the field and 40 percent from behind the 3-point line.

The Beavers never led in the game, jumping out a 10-point lead at 14-4 with 13:11 remaining in the half. BSU got four straight points from Althoff to cut the deficit to six, but WSC fired back with an 8-0 run to hold a 14-point advantage at 22-8 with 8:27 left.

The Wildcats were then able to hold a double-digit lead through the half, en route to a 38-22 lead at the break. Just 1:43 into the second half the home team's lead stretched to 42-22 and it stayed as a 20-plus point lead for the rest of the game, ending as a 24-point victory.

Freshman Emily Kaus had one block in the game, finishing the season with 42 which ties her for second on BSU's top season blocks list. Sophomore Sydney Epema had 56 3-pointers in 2009-10, after posting 73 in her freshman campaign. The 129 career 3-pointers sits fifth on BSU's career 3-pointers made chart.
