BSU student opens senior show April 23

BEMIDJI - Oren Montgomery, a Bemidji State University art student, opens a senior show, "Adventures in Time and Space," this month in Bemidji State University's Touché Gallery.

The show features Montgomery's work in metals and paper.

"The pieces in this show are meant to evoke a feeling of warmth and wonder," said Montgomery, who is from Bemidji. "Bits and pieces of a story are laid out like artifacts belonging to an adventurous wanderer to try and spark the viewer's imagination."

Montgomery will host an opening reception for the show at 6 p.m. in the gallery, inside the upper Hobson Memorial Union on the BSU campus.

The Touché Gallerie is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and is open at no charge to the public.
