BSU seeks Hall of Fame nominations
BEMIDJI – Bemidji State University’s Department of Professional Education is seeking nominations for its Professional Education Hall of Fame.
The bi-annual induction honors BSU alumni who demonstrate excellence in teaching students or managing schools.
Nominees must:
- Hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in teacher education from Bemidji State University
- Have been previously awarded or recognized by a reputable group for accomplishments in the field of education and
- Receive a nomination from a BSU alum, colleague, instructor or administrator.
Self-nominations are not allowed.
Nominated candidates also must submit two letters of support – one from a teacher and one from an administrator – evidence of a previous education award such as a copy of a news release, and a current resume or a brief biography citing professional and/or volunteer work.

All nominations should be post-marked by Jan. 11.
The 2013 Hall of Fame inductees will be honored during a dinner on April 19 at Bemidji State. In addition, their pictures will be displayed on the Department of Professional Education’s Hall of Fame wall.
