Areshenko, Dugas and George were three of six newcomers to be honored on the team. Joining them are Niagara's Jason Beattie, Alabama-Huntsville's Matti Jarvinen and Robert Morris' Stephan Salituro.

An anchor on the Bemidji State blueline, Areshenko has seen time in 30 of BSU's 34 games this season and has heard his name called as one of its starting defensemen on 12 occasions. The gritty defenseman from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, leads the team in blocked shots and has three assists this season.

In eight appearances, including six starts this season, Dugas has a record of 4-2-0 with a team-low 2.03 goals against average to go with a .912 save percentage.

With 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points in 33 games, George finished the regular-season second on the team in scoring and is currently third among his teammates in both goals (13) and assists (20). George's 33 points establishes a new record for offensive output by a freshman in BSU's Division I era, surpassing current teammate Brad Hunt, who had 32 points last season.

As selections to the CHA All-Rookie Team, Areshenko, Dugas and George become eligible for CHA 2010 Rookie of the Year honors. That will be announced Thursday night in Niagara Falls.

Bemidji State landed 17 players on the CHA All-Academic team. BSU's honorees make up 30-percent of the 57-man 2010 CHA All-Academic squad.

Named to the team were: Ryan Adams, Dan Bakala, Emil Billberg, Matt Carlson, Ryan Cramer, Darcy Findlay, Kyle Hardwick, Brad Hunt, Ben Kinne, Tyler Lehrke, Ian Lowe, Dan MacIntyre, Jamie MacQueen, Chris McKelvie, Chris Peluso, Matt Read and Shea Walters.

To earn placement on the CHA All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have completed at least one year of residency at his present institution prior to the current academic year. The student-athlete must have a grade-point average of at least 3.00 (based on a 4.00 scale) for the previous two semesters or three quarters, or an overall GPA of at least 3.00 for all terms at his present institution.
