BSU: Green and White dinner raises $104,000 for athletic scholarships
BEMIDJI -- The Green and White dinner and auction to benefit BSU athletics attracted 400 people Saturday night to the Sanford Center and the event raised $104,000.
Participants were able to bid on 93 silent auction and seven live auction items and the money raised through the auctions, plus individual donations, will be used to create athletic scholarships.
“Through the efforts of many volunteers, university staff and student-athletes, the evening was a success in many ways,” BSU athletic director Tracy Dill said of the inaugural dinner. “Most importantly, it provides an opportunity to build partnerships for the future and share in the dreams of our students.”
The dinner is the largest single event to help fund the priorities of the BSU athletic programs, according to university officials.
