Brian "Bruno" Keith Jourdain, 43, of Red Lake, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at Fairview Hospital in Edina, Minn.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Mission Catholic Church in Red Lake with the Rev. Pat Sullivan officiating. A wake will begin Sunday at the Little Rock Center and will continue until the time of the funeral on Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Cordova, Brandon Lussier, Brent Sigana, Dale Whitefeather, Mark Sigana, Tyrone Isham and Clayton Jourdain.
Honorary pallbearers will be area fire departments, Brandon Cordova, Todd Bedeau, Steven Bedeau Sr., Merrill Neadeau, Burt Benton, Ron Sigana, Lisa Sumner, Sandra Sigana, Shanelle Sigana and Leslie Lussier, and all of his uncles.
He was born July 19, 1965, to Darlene and Lawrence Bedeau in Chicago, Ill.
He attended St. Mary's Mission School and Red Lake High School. He was employed by Chemical Health, Red Lake Tribal Bingo and the Red Lake Fire Department before he retired due to health reasons.
He enjoyed spending time with his children and his granddaughter. He also enjoyed going to the casino, spending time at the fire department, socializing in communities, attending Red Lake Warriors basketball games, chatting and listening to music.
He is survived by his mother; brothers, Marty Cobenais, Todd Bedeau and Steven (Lauren) Bedeau, all of Red Lake; sisters, Laureen (Merrill) Neadeau, Karen Bedeau, Connie (Burt) Bedeau and Melani Bedeau, all of Red Lake, and Terri Desjarlait of Coon Rapids, Minn.; grandparents; his children, Brandon Cordova of Bemidji, Brian Jourdain Jr. and Andrea Jourdain; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Steven; uncles, Melvin, Laverne and Joe Roberts; aunts, Catherine, Alice, Margaret, Florence and Karen; and his grandparents.
