The Lumberjacks only managed 11 shots on goal and were 0-for-7 on the power play against Brainerd/Pillager/Pierz; and the Warriors cruised to a 6-0 win Tuesday night.

“We just weren’t good, that’s the bottom line,” Bemidji head coach Wade Chiodo said. “We came out flat, had no energy and no intensity. We just kind of stood still for most of the game. It wasn’t very good.”

The Warriors (19-5) scored the game’s first goal at the 8:13 mark of the first period. Alex Mimmack put the Warriors up 1-0 and Brainerd outshot Bemidji 12-3 in the first frame.

In the second frame, Brainerd exploded for four goals, including one each from Jacob Ellington, Cole Smith, Reno Fussy and Logan Rivard.

The Warriors closed out the game with a third period tally from Rivard at 4:59.

The Lumberjacks (7-15-2) were outshot by the Warriors 28-11 in the game. Gabe Heifort and Grant Tharaldson split time in the net for BHS.

The Lumberjacks return home Friday for their final regular season game; they’ll host Thief River Falls at 5 p.m. at Bemidji Community Arena.
