Boys and Girls Club updates schedule

The Boys and Girls Club of the Bemidji Area, 1600 Minnesota Ave., will be closed to members Monday for observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and for program staff development and planning.

The club will resume regular hours Tuesday with the usual after-school schedule: Elementary 2:50-6:00 p.m. and Middle and High School 2:50-7:00 p.m.

In a news release, the club also announced hours for future dates:

Teen Night will be from 7:00 p.m. until midnight on Jan. 20 for middle school teens only, to include current members and non members.

The club will be open from noon - 6:00 p.m. Feb. 3 and be serving a free healthy lunch from noon until 1 p.m. for members.

Teen Night will be from 6-9 p.m. Feb. 3 for both middle school and high school teen members.

Teen Night will be from 6:30-midnight Feb. 17 for members and non-members and will include host bands, game and video game tournaments, gym activities, food and much more. The event is sponsored by the Club and the Bemidji Youth Advisory Council (BYAC).

The BGCBA follows the same inclement weather policy as the school district. When school is cancelled, let out early or after school activities are cancelled due to weather, BGCBA will also be closed.
