Bonnie Rose Preston Burnham was born on Nov. 25, 1946 in Sugar Bush Township, Beltrami County, Minnesota, the daughter of Francis A. Hap Preston and Edna Preston.
She graduated from Bemidji High School in 1965 and was a professional hairdresser in Bemidji for many years, until her retirement from that job in 2012.
She passed away on March 28, 2013 in Bemidji, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by brothers Tim and Jess, and is survived by sisters Myrtle, Francie, Helen, Violet, and brothers Dave and Jimmie and a son, William Preston Hanks of Bemidji and former husband Bill Hanks of Austin, Texas and David Burnham of Bemidji to whom she was married for almost 27 years.
She was a longtime and faithful member of the Intercontinental Church of God and a good friend to all who knew her.
A Time of Sharing will be at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, 3330 Irvine Ave., NW, Bemidji, from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013.
She will be buried at a later date at the Sugar Bush Cemetery in Beltrami County.
