Bois Forte chooses Kraus-Anderson
Kraus-Anderson Construction Company has been selected as construction manager by the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa to build the new 45,000-square-foot Bois Forte Government and Community Services Facility in Nett Lake, Minn. Located 40 miles south of the Canadian border in both St. Louis and Koochiching Counties, construction will begin this month and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2010.
Last month, a severe fire completely destroyed the Bois Forte Tribal Government Headquarters, which was home to the tribe's administration and finance offices, planning, leasing and grant administration, Tribal Employee Rights Ordinance and language preservation program. The building also housed the tribe's planning, fuel assistance, information technology departments, a registrar and Tribal Council chambers.
Established in 1897, Kraus-Anderson Construction Company is headquartered in Minneapolis and has regional offices in Phoenix, Ariz., Madison, Wis.; and Kansas City, Kan.
