Body found near trash bin in Fridley
FRIDLEY, Minn. -- Authorities are investigating after a woman's body was found near a trash bin in the northern Twin Cities suburb of Fridley on Monday morning.
Police responded about 10:30 a.m. after a refuse driver reportedly spotted a body lying on the ground near the garbage area outside of a building, according to Lt. Mike Monsrud, spokesman for Fridley police.
No information was immediately available about the woman's identity or cause of death, though an initial examination of the scene found no obvious signs of injury to her body, the Anoka County sheriff's office reported.
The incident is being pursued as a death investigation, Monsrud said, adding investigators were not currently pursuing any suspects related to the case
