Bob Busch named director of WSN's Transportation Engineering department

BEMIDJI - Widseth Smith Nolting has named Bob Busch as director of its expanding Transportation Engineering department. Busch is a former Minnesota Department of Transportation district engineer.

As department head, he provides companywide management of the firm's transportation projects, coordinating resources across eight offices. Projects vary from state department of transportation work to municipal and county streets and highways. Busch's experience is particularly valuable when these jurisdictions intersect.

Busch has more than 30 years of experience in the transportation engineering field and recently retired from MnDOT as district engineer for north central Minnesota (District 3). He was responsible for planning, program management, design, construction and maintenance of all state highways within a 13-county area servicing 550,000 constituents.

Widseth Smith Nolting is a multi-disciplined firm of 180 employees providing engineering, architectural, land surveying, and environmental services. Its offices are in Bemidji, Crookston, Brainerd/Baxter, Alexandria, East Grand Forks, Red Wing and Rochester; and Grand Forks, N.D.
