Blackduck motel robbed

BLACKDUCK – Authorities are asking for the public’s help after the AmericInn Motel in Blackduck was robbed Monday night.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 7:22 p.m. Monday that the motel located on Brandl Drive Northwest was robbed, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
The suspect entered the motel’s front lobby and demanded money, keeping his hands in his sweatshirt pockets, according to the press release. After taking an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect left and headed west on foot toward the American Legion.
Authorities describe the man as 6 feet tall and possibly in his early 20s with a deep voice. He was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a bright orange mask.
