Blackduck, Cass Lake-Bena meet for sub-section title

BEMIDJI - Top-seeded Blackduck and second seed Cass Lake-Bena advanced to championship game of the East Sub-Section 8A baseball tournament.

The Drakes and Panthers will tangle for the sub-section title 5 p.m. today at the Be-midji State diamond.

In Thursday's semifinals Blackduck downed Kelliher-Northome 11-1 and Cass Lake-Bena nipped Walker-Hackensack-Akeley 4-2.

Both teams advanced to the Section 8A tournament which will be held at BSU on Tuesday. Today's game will determine the sub-section champion and the seeding for Tuesday's section semi-finals.
