Sept. 27, Lorraine Peck and Dan and Lori Dietrich enjoyed a full day of worship at R.B.C. in Bemidji followed by a celebration of Jerry Mondt's 80th birthday. Family and friends gathered to remember the years Jerry and his wife, Laverne, have served in the Lord's work as pastor and in music ministry. Throughout the day, more than 14 played that many instruments, doing country/gospel music and feasting. "What a day!" said Lorraine.

Residents of the senior apartments are enjoying an abundance of harvest from the gardens of friends and neighbors, the color changes of Autumn and the feel of the season in the air.

Saturday, Lorraine's grandson, Gaylen, came by for a harvest meal and helped grandma with fall cleanup. During the week, Jessica Edin came by with a bowl of homemade chili for grandma and later, she and her children -- Callista, Catia and Colt -- visited with Grandma Peck.

Residents of the Blackduck Senior Apartments gathered in the community room Friday for coffee and cookies so Carol Stice could introduce the new manager, Alma Olhava. Residents want to welcome Alma and her family as part of the Blackduck Senior Apartment family.

They would also like to extend a belated welcome to Craig Mosque, who came on board as the maintenance/janitorial person. Residents say they find him to be a very pleasant, personable person who has been keeping very busy in his early days on the job. The residents sure appreciate his good nature!
