Bjerknes set to become new assistant principal for BMS
BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji School Board will convene for its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the board room at district headquarters, 502 Minnesota Ave. NW.
The agenda including approving the promotion of Brandon Bjerknes, who has accepted the job of assistant principal at Bemidji Middle School, where he most recently has served as dean of students. Bjerknes would replace Gregg Parks, who left his position to become superintendent of the Nevis School District.
The agenda also includes discussion and potential action on the following:
• Projected enrollments for future school years.
• The second reading of policies for teacher evaluations, bullying prohibition and the Student Code of Conduct.
• Math curriculum review
• Authorization calling for the election of three School Board members to four-year terms. Filing for School Board candidates will be open from July 29 to Aug. 12.
