Dale will face Drew Gumlia of Tustin, Calif. who ousted defending champion Braeden Ohman of Grand Forks 2 up.

"This is my first time in the finals," Dale, who is a member of the Bemidji High School golf team, said. "I've been to the semifinals a few times but never to the final. It is a good feeling finally making it this far."

Dale shot a 39 on the front and was even with Leintz. On the back side, however, Dale carded all pars and after victories on No. 14, No. 15 and No. 16, the match was over.

"Things are just going my way this year," Dale said. "I'm staying away from the big numbers and am just trying to be consistent with pars.

"I'm in the position that I wanted to be in when the tournament started," Dale continued. "My goal is to play the best that I can and hope that is good enough for the victory."
