If an application for Small Cities Development Program funds is successful, deferred payment loans would be made available to low and moderate income home owners in Eckles and Lammers townships, and the cities of Solway and Wilton.

To submit a competitive application a list of interested, qualified applicants are needed.

All home owners interested in considering applying for housing rehabilitation assistance are encouraged to submit a pre-application no later than March 16.

Pre-applications are available at Bi-CAP or may be completed by telephone by calling 444-4732.

Income limits for the program are based on 80 percent of area median income adjusted for family size.

As an example, the maximum gross annual income for a single-person household is $33,600, four-person household is $48,000 and eight-person household is $63,400.

Eligible households who submit pre-applications prior to the March 16 deadline will be given priority for financial assistance should the county receive grant funds.
