The Bemidji High softball team hopes 13 is its lucky number today when it hosts Eveleth-Gilbert at 4:30 at the high school complex.
Bemidji won its 12th game Tuesday, a 9-1 victory over once beaten Thief River Falls.
Saturday it heads to Cloquet for the Section 7 Lumberjacks Invite.
It finished seventh at last year's event. Losing to Silver Bay 11-1 and Cloquet 10-0 before shading South St. Paul 7-6.
It also fell at Eveleth 11-7 with Megan Gullickson suffering her only loss of the season.
Erika Weimann (1-0) will get today's starting call seeking her second win of the week after a 23-3 rout at Red River Monday.
Coach Brad Takkunen may shake up the rest of the lineup some to give players some experience in alternate positions to strengthen the team's overall depth for the final stretch run and the playoffs.
All 12 players are likely to see action.
Chelsea Yost (7-1) and Paige Jensen (4-0) will get the Saturday starts. Both worked the TRF win, Yost going the first five frames to get the win.
Bemidji was held to only nine hits in that game, only the second game in the past nine it has not reached double figures.
But it profited from three walks and four hit batters to control the game from the start.
The B Team also brings a 12-1 record into its game with Taylor McLean the expected starter.
