The Bemidji volleyball team defeated Lake of the Woods 3-1 Tuesday at Bemidji High School.
The scores were 25-18, 19-25, 29-27 and 25-20.
"We have had a really tough schedule as of late," Bemidji head coach Teresa Colligan said. "We were tired and played OK, but not to the best of our abilities."
The Lumberjacks (20-8) were propelled by an 11-1 run to win Game 1.
Brianna Thorson and Jenna Sagedahl were the servers during the run. Sagedahl led Bemidji with 40 assists and 15 digs in the match.
The Bears got seven consecutive points with Tori Sindelir serving to come from behind and end Game 2.
Bemidji jumped ahead to an early 15-10 lead in Game 3 after a 6-0 run.
Lake of the Woods rallied to tie the score at 23 but Bemidji prevailed.
The Lumberjacks went on a 7-0 run with Jasmin Yerbich serving to grab a 16-10 lead in Game 3.
Jessica Yost, Kellie Morehouse and Allie Heifort delivered consecutive kills to end the match.
Yost, who broke her own record for kills in a season, led the team with 21 kills. She also had a team-high in blocks with four.
The match was the final regular season home match for Bemidji's seniors. The five seniors are Morehouse, Sagedahl, Thorson, Nicole McDonald, and Caitlin Hadrava.
"We have great seniors," Colligan said. "They are terrific individuals. They work hard, are dedicated and a lot of fun. They will be missed."
Yost and Olson each had two aces on the night.
Heifort finished with 17 kills.
Bemidji will begin the section tournament next Wednesday.
