BHS cross country: Berube, Drewes lead Jacks at Roy Griak Invite
The Bemidji High School cross country teams competed in the Roy Griak Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The event was hosted by the University of Minnesota at Les Bolstad Golf Course in Minneapolis.
The Bemidji boys team finished 31st in the field with Andy Berube the highest finish for the Jacks in 85th place with a time of 17:15 in the 5k race.
Alex Schoneberger was 116th at 17:32, Dan Clemenson was 137th at 17:40, John Buckanaga was 228 at 18:10, Jake Urban was 267th at 18:27, Sam Carlson was 280th 18:33 and Ryan Erickson was 287th at 18:36.
The Bemidji girls team finished in 32nd place with Bailey Drewes the highest finish for the Jacks in 58th place with a time of 20:21.
Jenna Truedson was 85th at 20:41, Kim Truedson was 96th at 20:47, Dani Gronhovd was 301st at 22:53, Laura Edwads was 305th at 22:58, Mikayla Connel was 330th at 23:32 and Emma Brokl was 344th at 23:50.
There were 54 teams and 495 entrants in the girls high school race.
There were 55 teams and 511 individual entrants in the boys high school race.
The Bemidji High School junior varsity volleyball team finished 3-1 at a meet hosted by Lake of the Woods.
Bemidji defeated Roseau 3 by scores of 25-4 and 25-21, then defeated Roseau 1 by scores of 25-19 and 25-19 and followed with a win over Blackduck by scores of 25-13 and 25-13.
The lone loss came to LOTW in three games. The scores were 17-25, 25-23 and 16-14.
