BHS Boys Tennis: Jacks take brief match

The Bemidji High tennis team barely beat the rain to turn back East Grand Forks 4-0 Tuesday at a scheduled triangular at the Bemidji courts.

Rain washed out the second match between East Grand and Detroit Lakes and the final between the Lakers and Bemidji.

The Lumberjacks host Crookston Friday afternoon and Moorhead Saturday morning to complete their week.

Bemidji swept the three doubles, needing a tiebreaker to take No. 3.

Ryan Rude clinched the win with a pair of 6-0 wins at No. 2 singles.

The No. 1 and 3 singles were divided with tiebreakers in progress when the match was ended. The Jacks also won the opening set at No.4.

Adam Holter and Kyle Fodness defeated Shane Wasylow and Tyler Berglund 6-2, 6-0

Josh Pierce and Wes Rogers defeated Ole Eickenroth and Scott Metzger 6-2, 2-6 (7-5)
