The Bemidji Lumberjacks boys golf team shot one of its best rounds of the spring Wednesday but found it to no avail as it finished tied for 15 with Sauk Rapids in a 20-team field at The Pines.
Bemidji's 338 equaled its round Saturday at Greystone and was topped only by a 335 in its first trip to The Pines early this month.
Chaska won with a 308, averaging 77 strokes per player. Minnetonka and Moorhead tied for second at 319 with Sartell and Blaine tied for fourth at 320.
Drake Beyer of Pequot Lakes and Casey Vangsness of Alex tied for medalist honors with a one over par 73.
Eric Peckskamp of Sauk Rapids hit 74 and Shawn Halverson of Brainerd 75.
Joe Welle led Bemidji at 81 with Rylee Curb and Kaleb Hanson hitting 85 and Kevin Larson 87.
The kickers were Max Hazelton 88 and Trey Dale 89.
Bemidji plays the Headwaters Course at Park Rapids tomorrow in its final meet of the week.
