Beulah May Gain, 93, of Park Rapids, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Heritage Living Center.
She was born to Dennis and Emma (George) Parks, on March 8, 1915 in Osage Township, Becker County. She attended the Green Pine Country School north of Osage and later attended Park Rapids High School. She married Vernon D. Pierson in 1933. They had five children.
In 1965 she married Joe Gain, who now lives at Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Gain; her daughter, Marliyn Jeanne (Ted) Wilde, of Laporte; two sons: Keith (Kathy) Pierson, of Hibbing, and Kenneth (Linda) Pierson, of Kelly Lake; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronald "Bud" (Gilda) Parks, of Grand Rapids; a sister, Donna Lockwood, of Des Moines, Iowa; and a brother-in-law, Virgil Armbruster, of Port Orchard, Wash.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: Sharon, who died in infancy in 1934, and Shirley Armbruster, who died in 2007; a brother, Ivan Parks; and four sisters: Evelyn McComas, Inez Condit, Phylis Warren and Floy Hagen.
Casket bearers: Her grandchildren: Douglas, Timothy, Dale and Melody Wilde, Darin, Shane, Jason, Tiami and Samantha Pierson, Debbie Lokken, and Marvin and Michael Armbruster.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. Monday, March 9 at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Park Rapids with Rev. Ken Mayberry officiating. Hymns will be "Near to the Heart of God," "And I Know Whom I Have Believed" and "Oh Wonderful Love."
Visitation: From noon until the time of service on Monday at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Park Rapids.
