Bertha Knudson, 94, of Bagley died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in loving arms of family at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bagley.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2013 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Pastor Kent Dudley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fern Township Cemetery, Hubbard County, MN.
Bertha born September 28, 1918 at St. Marys Hospital in Bemidji, MN to John and Ada Malterud. She grew up in Becida, MN where she married Ray Knudson on October 19, 1935. Together they farmed until they moved to Deer River, MN in 1963. While there, Bertha worked for several years at Bahrs Motel. In 2003 they moved to Bemidji. In 2011 she moved to Bagley. She always enjoyed having her family and friends visit and was well known for her homemade donuts and lefsa. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Adella (John) Eidsmoe; a son, Edwin (Lucille) Knudson; six granddaughters; 2 step-grandsons; 6 great-granddaughters; 1 great-grandson as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
