Bemidji's Section 4-A opener moved back to Wednesday

BRAINERD – Tuesday’s Section 8-4A boys basketball tournament opener sending No. 8 Bemidji to top-ranked Brainerd has been postponed until 7 p.m. Wednesday because of the snowstorm which began Monday and extended into Tuesday.

The Bemidji-Brainerd contest was one of four Section 8-4A games postponed a day.

Also pushed back to Wednesday were the quarterfinal games sending No. 5 St. Michael-Albertville to No. 4 Buffalo, No. 7 St. Cloud Tech to No. 2 Elk River, and No. 6 Rogers to No. 3 Moorhead.

Bemidji will take a 2-23 record into Wednesday’s contest while Brainerd is 25-1.

The semifinals will be Saturday at St. Cloud State and the section final will be March 14 at a neutral site.
