ST. CLOUD - The 39th annual Minnesota High School All-Star football game will be held Saturday, June 30 at Husky Stadium in St. Cloud and among the players representing the North team will be Cody Rutledge and Brandon Larson. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Lumberjack Carey Woods originally was scheduled to play for the North but he was scratched from the roster because of a hand injury and was replaced by Rutledge.
Larson will be a linebacker for the North while Rutledge is listed as a wide receiver. During his high school career Rutledge also played in the defensive secondary.
Also on the sidelines for the All-Star game will be BHS head coach Troy Hendricks who will be an assistant coach for the North. Jeff Schlieff of Spring Lake Park is the team's head coach.
The game is designed to showcase the top senior players from the 2011 high school football season. Players and coaches representing 78 schools and selected by members of the Minnesota Football Coaches Association will participate in the game.
Last year the North defeated the South 17-7.
