Bemidji youth hockey report for Jan. 21

Girls 14-U

The Bemidji girls 14-Under won three games this weekend, running their record to 13-8-1.

They step up a class this week, playing the Warroad JV tomorrow ight at Warroad and the Brainerd JV Saturday at Brainerd, traveling with the varsity on each occasion.

They defeated the Warroad JV 4-3 here earlier this year.

Friday Bemidji beat Ft. Frances 7-2 at the BCA, getting four goals from Myria Colley and one each from Jordyn Follis, Emily Booth and Francesca Huerd.

Emily Booth had four assists and Heather Bjerk, Follis, Savanna Hanson, Emily Boyer and Hanna Olson one.

Emily Frazer kicked out 14 shots. Ft. Frances rejected 48.

Saturday, Bemidji shaded Warroad 2-1 with goals by Booth and Colley. Bjerke and Karlee Tower assisted the Colley goal.

Frazer made 20 stops. Warroad had 25

Sunday Bemidji scored on a third period power play to shade East Grand Forks 3-2 at East Side.

Huerd, Booth and Ashley Dolezal scored the goals with Olson, Dolezal and Booth assisting.

Frazer made 22 saves. EGF had 30.

Pee Wee B Blue

The Pee Wee B-Blue won its last two starts beating East Grand Forks 2-1 Saturday and Red Lake Falls 4-2 Sunday at Bemidji.

The two wins snapped a four-game losing skid and left the team at7-12-1.

It plays at Grand Rapids Sunday morning and returns home to face Detroit Lakes at 3:45 that afternoon.

Sam Holm scored both goals in the EGF win. Mitch Webb, Jacob Amble and Drew Mistic drew assists.

Nick D'Albani made 27 stops. East Side had only 14.

Holm also scored twice in the RLF win while Broderick Coons and Karl Compelling scored once.

Webb had two assists and Coons and Logan Solheim one.

Bemidji had 25 save. Red Lake Falls had 24.

Girls 12-Under

The girls 12-Under swept their last two starts, beating Detroit Lakes 4-1 and East Grand Forks 3-1.

In games reported this year, the team is 4-3-1. A schedule has yet to be received.

On Jan. 15, at Detroit Lakes, Bemidji had three goals from Madison DeLaHunt and one from Janessa Johnson. Assists went to Savannah DeLaHunt Madelyn Tews, Johnson and Heather Olson,.

Morgan Miller had 22 saves. DL had 22 also.

On Jan. 17 at EGF, Katie Pogue scored twice and Savannah DeLaHunt once. Tews, Mackenzie Hietala and Sadie Defatte had assists.

Leighton Rockensock made 17 stops. EGF had 17 as well.

Squirts A

The Squirts A had a tie and a loss in its last two starts, dropping its record to 8-2-2.

It hosts its own invitational this weekend and the BCA starting Friday.

On Jan. 16, the Squirts and East Grand Forks battled to a 4-4 tie at the BCA.

Sam Walker had two goals and Ethen Pickett and Drew Mistic one.

Alex Pollock and Tatro had two assists and Chase Hartje one.

Trevor Bjerke made 15 stops. East Grand Forks had 26.

The following day, Roseau handed Bemidji a 6-2 setback at the BCA. Pollock had both goals with Tanner Hammitt, Tatro and Pickett getting assists.,

Bjerke kicked back 21 shots as did Roseau.

Squirts B-Blue

The Squirts B-Blue won two of its three most recent games, losing to Bagley 5-4 before beating Hallock 9-0 and the Roseau Blue 7-6.

It lifted the Blue to 9-2-1. They hosted Bagley Friday and the Roseau Blue Saturday and entertain the Roseau White this Saturday and travel to Park Rapids Sunday.

Taylen Seibold had two goals and Thor Solien and Leo Spry one in the Bagley loss. Reece Norenberg and Josh Baker had assists. Carson Olson made 22 stops. Bagley had 15.

At Hallock, Seibold had a hat trick, Baker and Tarek Meshke scored twice and Spry and Cole Koebke once.

Joe McKay had two feeds and Solien, Calvin Sheffield, Spry and Alex Skillin one. Brett Carlson was the goaltender. No stops were reported.

At Roseau, Bemidji won in overtime on Seibold's third goal of the game. Meshke, Koebke, Baker and Spry had single goals.

Spry had the only assist.

Carlson made 19 stops. Roseau had 27
