Pee Wee A

The Coca Cola Pee Wee A hockey team continued its fine year adding three more victories to its list.

Saturday Bemidji defeated Grand Rapids 8-2 and Warroad 12-0 and followed with a 7-1 decision over International Falls Sunday, all at home.

It lifted Neil Huewe's Pee Wees to 27-4 and 8-3 in District play.

This week it travels to Brainerd Friday before hosting Hallock Saturday and playing at Baudette and Roseau Sunday.

A five-goal second period broke open the Grand Rapids game. Josh Lusby had a hat trick, Mikey Sauer scored twice and Jack Johnson, Jake Leitner and Erik Fitzgerald once.

Jake Leitner had four assists, Matthew Gregg three and Lusby, Johnson, Rocky Copiskey, Cody Gumeringer and Tanner Turn one.

Grant Tharaldson made 16 saves. Grand Rapids had 18.

Bemidji outshot Warroad 37-10 with Gregg getting a hat trick, Sauer, Fitzgerald and Jake Leitner scoring twice and Lusby, Turn and Michael Forseth once.

Jake Leitner had three assists, Gregg, Copiskey and Sauer two and Lusby, Johnson and Fitzgerald one.

Kyle Krause turned back 10 shots. Warroad made 25 saves.

Sunday, Jake Leitner had a hat trick, Sauer scored twice and Lusby and Turn once.

Lusby had two feeds and Gumeringer, Fitzgerald, Gregg, Jake Leitner, Turn, ,Sauer and Forseth one.

Krause made nine stops. I. Falls had 50.

Pee Wee B-Blue

The Pee Wee B-Blue lost 2-0 at Roseau Saturday with Nick D'Albani making 21 stops

It lowered the team to 10-17-1.

It next faces Roseau and East Grand Forks at home Saturday and plays at Thief River Falls Sunday.

Squirts A

The Squirts A reached 12-3-3 this winter with a 6-3 win at Moorhead Saturday.

Alex Pollock had five of the six goals with Brady Tatro scoring the sixth.

Tatro had four feeds. Tanner Hammitt, Jaret Lalli and Pollock had one.

Matt Fitzgerald made 15 stops, Moorhead had 16

The team entertains Grand Rapids Sunday at 3:39 at the BCA in its next start.
