Bemidji wrestling goes 0-3 at Frazee Invitational

The Bemidji wrestling team was hampered by being forced to forfeit three to four weights Saturday and dropped all three of its dual matches at the Frazee Invitational.

In Saturday's opener Bemidji was defeated 55-13 by Frazee. The Lumberjacks collected three individual victories as Al Johnson posted a pin at heavyweight, Brian Maas won by a major decision at 113 and Logan Crosby edged his 126-point opponent 2-0.

The Lumberjacks also forfeited at three weights.

The forfeits proved costly in Bemidji's second match of the day against Border West as the Lumberjacks fell 42-38. BHS forfeited at 106, 152, 195 and 220 and the Jacks yielded six more points when Kodi Craft was forced to default because of injury.

Winning for the Lumberjacks were Brian Maas at 120, Crosby at 126, Ryle Masterson at 138, Craig Maas at 145, Kade Johnson at 170, Dustin Greenman at 182 and Alex Johnson at heavyweight.

BHS then lost 55-20 to Perham. O'Bierne, Brian Maas, Crosby and Kade Johnson were the Bemidji winners.
