Bemidji wrestlers fall to Alexandria, Little Falls
ALEXANDRIA – The Bemidji wrestling team dropped both of its matches at Tuesday’s triangular, losing to the host team 36-27 and falling 45-21 to Little Falls.
Against Alexandria each team won seven matches but the Cardinals posted four pins and earned another six points when Bemidji forfeited at 132.
Brody Wilander scored a pin for the Jacks at 182 pounds. Contributing decision victories were Brian Maas at 113, Dylan Sauceda at 126, Craig Maas at 138, Robert Treuer at 145, Gannon Strain at 160 and Kade Johnson at 195.
In the battle with Little Falls BHS won four matches. Tyler O’Beirne posted a pin victory at 106 while Tyler Maas scored a decision at 113, Brian Maas did the same at 120 and Alex Johnson capped the match with a decision win at heavyweight.
Bemidji (7-7) returns to action Thursday at Badger-Greenbush-Middle River.
