Bemidji woman wins car in restaurant chain sweepstakes
BEMIDJI -- A Bemidji woman won a car through a contest through a national sandwich restaurant chain.
Elizabeth Hirt, a junior at BSU, recently won a 2013 Kia Soul through the Erbert & Gerbert’s Sandwich Shop’s 25th Anniversary Scratch ‘N’ Win Sweepstakes.
Customers earned scratch cards with every sandwich purchased. If they collected all four car parts revealed on the cards, they were entered in the sweepstakes.
Hirt, who is a junior studying business administration and business management at BSU, said the timing of her win could not have been better.
“The car I had before actually broke down a week before I won,” she said in a press release. “Everyone at work was making that into a joke, saying that hopefully I won the Kia because I didn’t have a car anymore. Then it happened and we were like, ‘No way!’ It’s just crazy that it happened at all.”
