Bemidji woman injured in crash near Battle Lake

A Bemidji woman was injured in a broadside accident Friday afternoon near Battle Lake.

The accident was reported at 1:39 p.m. at Highway 210 and Highway 78.

Sherry L. Tucker, 61, of Bemidji was transported by Ringdahl Ambulance to Lake Region Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. Battle Lake rescue assisted at the scene.

She was westbound on Highway 210 in a 2005 Pontiac G6.

Her vehicle was struck broadside by a 2006 Ford Five Hundred, southbound on Highway 78, driven by April L. Peterson, 40, of Richmond, Minn. She suffered no apparent injuries in the crash, according to the State Patrol.

The Battle Lake Police Department and Otter Tail County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene. Both vehicles were towed.

The accident occurred on dry two-lane blacktop.
