Bemidji volleyball season comes to an end
The Bemidji volleyball team saw its season come to an end Tuesday as the Lumberjacks fell 13-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-21 at top-seeded St. Michael-Albertville in the 8-3A semifinals.
"It was a roller-coaster match," said BHS coach Teresa Colligan whose team ended the year 15-15. "We did many good things on the court but St. Michael is a very good team with very good hitters and at times we had trouble adjusting to them."
Jess Yost finished with 12 kills while Allie Heifort and Kellie Morehouse each contributed six. Jenna Sagedahl dished 27 assists and Morehouse had a pair of aces.
Defensively Meghan Wannebo had 20 digs while Nicole McDonald and Liz Hirt added 15.
Heifort also finished with four blocks.
