After opening the fall with three losses the Jacks have reeled off eight consecutive victories. They will try to continue their winning ways Monday when they entertain Detroit Lakes at noon and Crookston at 3 p.m.

Moorhead proved to be no test for BHS as the home team dominated the Spuds in each match.

Jess Solberg set the tone with a 6-1, 6-2 win at first singles and Amy Frosaker followed with a 6-1, 6-4 victory at second singles.

Claudia Bellew was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at third singles and MacKenzie Schultz collected a 6-0, 6-3 victory at fourth singles.

In doubles action Emma Nielsen and Katie Ditmanson teamed for a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at first doubles, Annika Johnson and Francesca Huerd won 6-2, 6-1 at second doubles and the team of Claire Baumgartner and Alexis Konecne posted a 6-4, 6-0 win at third doubles.

"Against Moorhead we played well throughout the lineup," Bemidji coach Mark Fodness said. "We started strong in each match and continued to dictate the action throughout the sets."

Fergus Falls stacked its doubles teams in an attempt to slip past the Lumberjacks. The decision provided mixed results. The Otters did sweep the doubles but they couldn't overcome Bemidji's strong singles play.

"Tennis is a team game and everybody needs to step up," Fodness said. "Saturday it was the singles lineup that came through. The singles players took care of business and got the win for us."

Solberg, Frosaker, Bellew and Schultz all won their singles matches in straight sets. In doubles play Nielsen and Ditmanson fell 6-3, 6-2, Huerd and Johnson lost 7-5, 6-4 and Baumgartner and Konecne dropped a 7-6 (7-2), 4-6, (10-3) decision.
