Bemidji sweeps Perham to open volleyball season

PERHAM – A season filled with high expectations began on a positive note Tuesday as the Bemidji High School volleyball team swept Perham 25-14, 25-21, 25-19.

The defending Section 8-3A champions dominated at the start and maintained a cushion the entire way.

“It was a good first night for us,” Lumberjacks coach Teresa Colligan said. “We had people in new spots tonight and there are some things we need to work out but it was a good start.”
