Two Bemidji State players have been named to the Daktronics Women's Soccer NCAA Division II Central Region teams.
Forward Ashlee Ellefson, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference offensive player of the year, was named first team all-region. Defender Alysha Domiano made the second team.
The first team selections, made up of four forwards, four midfielders, four defenders and a goalkeeper will now be placed on the national ballot for Daktronics All-America honors that will be announced Dec. 1.
Ellefsen was the first player in BSU history to eclipse the century mark in points, tallying 104 in her four years. She also owns the school records for career goals (40), career assists (24) and career game-winning goals (14).
Domiano anchored the Bemidji State back line. The BSU defense only conceded 16 goals while claiming eight shutouts on the season. She ended a two-year scoring drought this year picking up two goals, including one game winner.
Joining Ellefson on the first team from the NSIC were defenders Maria Leider and Reegan Lloyd of Minnesota-Duluth and goalkeeper Anna Belpedio of Winona State.
