The last time BSU won an NSIC road game was Feb. 10, 2008.

The Beavers shot 24.1 percent from the field in the first half, but rallied to shoot 73.1 in the second half in the win.

"It was a classic tale of two halves," said head coach Mike Curfman. "We were tentative in the first half, but we got after it in the second half and competed hard. It was a quality win against a quality team."

The Beavers' (5-3, 1-2 NSIC) poor shooting in the first half led to a 11-point deficit heading into the locker room. After giving-up a 3-pointer on the first WSU possession, BSU started on fire on both ends of the floor to take a 45-44 lead at 14:16 off a Pettit 3-pointer.

The Warriors responded with a basket and regained the lead, but BSU came back and a scored a bucket to take a lead that would last through to the final buzzer.

Seven Beavers scored in the game's final 13 minutes en route to the victory.

Freshman Jessie Althoff had a career-high 15 points in the win. BSU ended shooting 47.3 percent from the field.

The Beavers will play Upper Iowa University Dec. 13.
