The Minnesota State University, Moorhead blocking tandem of Ashley Feldman and Morgan Grandishar shut down the Bemidji State volleyball team Friday night.
The Dragons defeated BSU in the home opener 3-0. The game scores were 25-11, 25-21 and 25-17. Feldman and Grandishar combined for 17 blocks in the victory over BSU.
Bemidji State dropped to 3-7 (0-2 NSIC) on the season and Moorhead improved to 4-5 (2-0 NSIC).
The Beavers host Minnesota-Crookston on Saturday at 3 p.m and will look to end a six-game losing streak.
The Beavers were held to a .047 hitting percentage Friday with 27 attack errors and 17 total blocks for MSU Moorhead. Bethany Thompson led the Beavers with 10 kills on 45 attempts. Kimberly Hacker had eight kills and a pair of blocks.
Jessi-Beth McCannell tallied 28 assists on the night.
Defensively, the Beavers were led by the performance of walk-on Elissa Christensen. She had 13 digs.
