The Bemidji State volleyball team completed a weekend sweep with a 3-0 defeat of the University of Mary Saturday afternoon at the BSU Gymnasium.
The set scores were 25-7, 25-21 and 25-18.
The Beavers ended the weekend without losing a single set after defeating Northern State 3-0 Friday night.
The win improved the beavers to 9-14 overall and 6-6 in the NSIC. The six conference wins double last year's total.
Mary dropped to 6-17 overall and remained winless in the NSIC at 0-12.
Bemidji State's offense was led by Nicole Olson with 10 kills and Melissa McNeely's nine kills. Laura Carlson had six kills and Laura Slinger had four.
Courtney Bitter had 31 set assists and had two aces.
Brie Groskreutz led the defensive effort with 12 digs and Laura Carlson had 10 digs.
In the first set, Bemidji State dominated with a little help from the Marauders. Mary had nine attack errors.
The Beavers converted 11 of the 21 kill attempts into kills and did not commit one attack error.
From there, Bemidji State cruised to the victory behind solid defense. The Beavers outblocked the Marauders 9-2.
The Beavers will only play one game next week, a 3 p.m. Saturday matchup with Minnesota-Duluth.
